The 18th European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) has extended the deadline of its call for partners until 17 April 2020. The event is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy and has grown to become a unique communication and networking platform, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including their political representatives, officials as well as experts and academics.

The #EURegionsWeek 2020 will offer a timely occasion to debate on the challenges the worldwide pandemic caused to the European ways of living and the solutions for a speedy sustainable and inclusive European recovery, and to share the experiences and best practices amongst regions and cities.

Session applications in line with this goal, under the topic “Cohesion and Cooperation,” but also proposals within “Green Europe” and “Empowering citizens”, are welcome.

Join the EURegionsWeek to:

  1. Discuss common challenges for European regions and cities and to exchange ideas on possible solutions by bringing together political representatives, decision-makers, experts and practitioners of regional policy, as well as stakeholders from business, banking, civil society organisations, academia, the EU institutions, and the media;
  2. Provide a platform for capacity-building and the exchange of experience and good practices for those implementing EU cohesion policy and managing its financial instruments;
  3. Facilitate cooperation and networking between regions and cities;
  4. Feed into the debate on EU cohesion policy in a wider context, including recent research and views from third countries and international organisations.
