Share

The European Commission in cooperation with the Committee of the Regions have established a Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform to help implement the Zero Pollution Action Plan. Many members have been selected and the first meeting took place on 16 December 2021 (for more details, see section ’meetings’ in the Register of Commission Expert Groups).

Now, the Commission’s Directorate-General Environment is looking for some additional members for the Platform to fill the remaining seats, namely for:

– up to 2 business organisations,
– up to 4 civil society organisations and
– up to one scientific and research organisation.

In particular, the Commission is looking to ensure a more balanced representation of interests and to collect more applications with expertise in the areas not yet sufficiently represented amongst the members, e.g. in the areas of workers’ rights, youth movements, digitalisation, applied research and training/education. The deadline for application is 08/03/2022 and more information can be found under additional information in the section on ’additional information’ in the Register of Commission Expert Groups.

In any case, the work of the Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform is public and you can follow its work by signing up to the Newsletter, watching the live stream and recordings of the meetings or getting information from the website.
