The AquaSPICE project, supported by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program (Grant Agreement Number: 958396), is focused on solving the critical challenge of water scarcity, exacerbated by climate change and increasing industrial demands. With a consortium of 27 partners, including leading research institutions, industrial partners, and environmental agencies across Europe, AquaSPICE has been working on developing and implementing innovative technologies to enhance circular water practices within industrial processes and reduce freshwater intake.
Held during the Water Knowledge Europe event, the final conference will showcase AquaSPICE’s journey, highlighting key technological innovations, real-world case studies, and policy recommendations. Through a series of presentations and discussions, participants will delve into the practical experiences gained, the challenges encountered, and the benefits realized. Looking ahead, the conference will also explore how these lessons and technologies can be scaled and integrated into broader industrial practices and policy frameworks, ensuring that the impact of AquaSPICE continues to grow, contributing to the realization of a Water-Smart Society.
