As global challenges in water management continue to intensify, Water Projects Europe 2025 places two flagship EU-funded projects –NEXOGENESIS and ARSINOE – at the centre of the debate on water policy transformation and climate resilience. At a time when Europe is preparing the upcoming Water Resilience Strategy, this event offers a timely and strategic opportunity to showcase how cutting-edge research and innovation can support the formulation and implementation of forward-looking water policies.
- NEXOGENESIS is at the forefront of reshaping water governance, leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to assess the impact of policy decisions on the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus. Through integrated, data-driven approaches, the project contributes to building a more informed, adaptive, and Water-Smart Society.
- ARSINOE introduces a Systemic Innovation Approach (SIA) to climate change adaptation. With nine demonstration cases across Europe, the project demonstrates how context-specific, co-designed solutions can increase regional resilience and deliver sustainable impacts aligned with climate policy objectives.
Water Projects Europe 2025, part of Water Knowledge Europe and the Blue Deal Congress, unites policy, science, and practice. Access results and tools from NEXOGENESIS & ARSINOE projects, including policy impact assessment, innovation models, and adaptation strategies. This event fosters high-level dialogue on bridging research and implementation, offering insights for the EU Water Resilience Strategy. Connect with key stakeholders (researchers, policy-makers, industry) to advance Europe’s water resilience and sustainability.
WPE will explore how policy innovation and systemic water resilience to climate changes can move from projects to policy and from strategy to impact.
