Monitoring can support the agrifood sector to improve the efficiency and sustainability of its production processes. This is desirable in terms of economy and ecology. Examples are among others real-time nutrient measurements in (recycled) water to optimise fertigation dosing in greenhouses and microbiological and biofilm measurements to steer disinfection processes in food and beverage.
