This 3rd WPE event is a RESURGENCE clustering action designed to foster synergies and accelerate the uptake of industrial water circularity solutions. By creating a shared space for innovation and strategic dialogue, the event supports Europe’s transition toward a Water-Smart Society and a more resilient industrial economy.
As water stress and rising costs make linear management unsustainable, industrial wastewater is being redefined as a valuable resource for recovering water, heat, energy, and secondary raw materials. Transitioning to circularity is not only a technical challenge but an operational and regulatory one, requiring cross-sectoral exchange to overcome common barriers and identify pathways for replication.
The event brings together three flagship Horizon Europe projects—RESURGENCE, CORNERSTONE, and R3VOLUTION—launched under the Processes4Planet partnership (A.SPIRE). These initiatives are joined by the MEloDIZER project to showcase advancements in water reuse and waste stream valorisation. This collaboration aims to strengthen connections among related initiatives, increase the visibility of circular solutions, and support the broader uptake of results across European industrial sectors.
