AQUATECH 2025, as an international hub for water technology, offers the ideal platform to showcase the synergy between innovation, digitalization, and European collaboration in water management. With stakeholders from across the globe converging in Amsterdam, this setting fosters a rich exchange of ideas, catalysing partnerships and elevating the visibility of EU-funded projects at the cutting edge of technological advancement.
Water Projects Europe event at AQUATECH 2025 will cluster light-house EU funded projects working at the forefront of digitalization and innovation in water management. Under the primary theme of EU funded projects IDEATION and WATERVERSE, the event will focus on a unified, interoperable digital twin of the hydrosphere, from inland waters to oceans, which can be facilitated by the creation of an ecosystem for efficient Water Data Management.
Water management is entering a new era, driven by data integration, digital twins, and collaboration across diverse water bodies. IDEATION, with its vision of integrating inland waters into the Digital Twin Ocean (DTO), sets the stage for this transformative journey. WATERVERSE enriches this narrative by focusing on the development of secure, resilient, and interoperable added-value digital services within the water sector. These services ensure seamless data flow across systems while maintaining data provenance and trustworthiness, ultimately facilitating the realization of the Water Data Space.
Through this event, participants will explore how digital tools, stakeholder engagement, and cross-border collaboration can address Europe’s critical water challenges, from enhancing resilience to climate change to fostering sustainable water usage. Showcasing the experiences and innovations of projects such as DALIA, AquaInfra, EcoDalli, FERRO, and Sundancse, the event highlights a collective effort to achieve the European Green Deal’s water-related objectives.
The Water Europe event will take place in Elicium – hall 13 (Innovation Hub). The entrance K is the closest to the Elicium hall 13.
Water Projects Europe (WPE) is free of charge. To access WPE at AQUATECH 2025, registration to AQUATECH is mandatory but also free of charge. To register for the AQUATECH free of charge, please click here. In case you don’t register in advance, you must pay a fee of 35 euros on the spot.
