Dear Water Europe friends,
Last year, triggered by the due relocation of our offices, we took the conscious decision to move our events beyond Brussels. We recently held successful editions of Water Projects Europe in Amsterdam and Water Market Europe in Girona respectively. Our upcoming flagship events, Water Knowledge Europe 2025 taking place next month in Warsaw and Water Innovation Europe set for Denmark this autumn, prove that we’ve put our words into action.
This shift isn’t simply about geography. It reflects a broader vision. As we strive to build a Water-Smart Society and work collectively towards the Water Resilience Strategy, we must ensure that all citizens are included in the discussion. By engaging with local communities across Europe, not just those in close proximity to the European Commission, we symbolically and practically expand our reach. This inclusiveness is vital. Creating real impact requires the mobilisation of people at every level and in every corner.
This broader outreach allows us to deepen our presence across Europe and foster greater connectivity among our members, partners, and stakeholders. In doing so, we contribute to a stronger, more united European Union. The ongoing consultation on the Water Resilience Strategy must reflect the voices of citizens from all corners of Europe. Its success depends on grassroots engagement, local knowledge, and collective commitment. Only by involving people on the ground can we ensure that this strategy is truly representative.
Meanwhile, as Poland holds the EU Presidency, we are proud that Water Knowledge Europe is being held under its patronage. Our event is taking place alongside the Blue Deal Congress and features two special sessions of Water Projects Europe, focusing on Climate Challenges and Industrial Water Management. Following their launch in December 2024, our Water Europe Communities of Practice and Expert Groups will also convene during the event. Our upcoming gathering will bring the Water Europe community together in Warsaw, and we warmly look forward to welcoming you all there.
