The MULTISOURCE project is hosting a free webinar, “Integrating Gender Perspective in Nature-based Solutions for Sustainable Cities” on 18 March 2025, from 11:00 to 12:30 CET. This event will explore the crucial yet often overlooked role of gender in urban water governance and Nature-Based Solutions (NbS).
As cities aim for sustainability and resilience, integrating a gender perspective in urban planning and NbS is vital for equitable outcomes. The webinar, “Integrating Gender Perspective in Nature-based Solutions for Sustainable Cities,” will discuss how addressing gender dynamics can enhance NbS initiatives’ inclusivity and effectiveness. MULTISOURCE is an EU-funded project that aims at facilitating the systematic, city-wide planning of nature-based solutions for urban water treatment, storage, and reuse. With seven technical pilots across Europe and USA, a wide range of urban waters will be explored throughout the project, while decision support tools are being co-designed together with local, national, and international stakeholders.
The webinar will feature experts, practitioners, and policymakers discussing opportunities and challenges in integrating gender perspectives into urban resilience strategies.
