On 25 September, Andrea Rubini, Director of Operations at Water Europe, took part in the 9th edition of Águas do Tejo Atlântico’s Innovation Pathway, an international event that brought together experts and key stakeholders to discuss the latest advances and emerging opportunities in the water sector.

During the event, Mr. Rubini presented the Water-Oriented Living Lab (WOLL) of Lisbon, which has now officially evolved into the Living Lab Água Mãe, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Lisbon City Council, Águas do Tejo Atlântico, and LNEC.

The Living Lab Água Mãe embodies the Water Europe Water-Oriented Living Lab (WOLL) philosophy—creating a collaborative ecosystem that enables actors from across the water value chain to co-create, test, and scale innovative solutions addressing urban water challenges.

As part of the Water4All – Partnership Atlas, this new Living Lab marks a significant step in transforming Lisbon into a leading European hub for circular and resilient water management.

The Water4All – Partnership continues to support the development and expansion of Living Labs across Europe, fostering collaboration, innovation, and sustainable practices to ensure a resilient water future for all.
