On October 21, 2024, Water Europe will host a pivotal event in Brussels to raise awareness and foster dialogue about the establishment of the new EIT Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) dedicated to the water, marine, and maritime sectors and ecosystems. This event intends to support the European Commission’s 2024 Water KIC call awareness campaign, highlighting Water Europe’s leadership in driving innovation and sustainability across these ecosystems to achieve a global Water-Smart Society.
With a shared mission to address water sustainability, resilience, and security challenges, and to consider the impacts of climate change on the broader water ecosystem, the event will bring together leaders from research, business, and education to discuss the future of the Water KIC. It will also offer emerging consortia a platform to showcase their models and ideas for the upcoming Water KIC Call for Proposals in 2025. Key themes and discussions:
