[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Summing up the 3rd Day of Water Innovation Europe 2021, we assisted to a groundbreaking discussion focused on searching out new water opportunities in rural and urban water and analysing how digitalisation and collaboration can help through this journey.

After the panellist session, we joined the MEP Water Group event which touched the current and future water challenges but also offering key inputs for the next EU legislations.

If you missed this session, take a moment and read the most important messages to take home:

✅ We need to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 at the latest. The water sector is ready to embrace its societal responsibility and lead by example.

✅ Having a common assessment of what is clean water and sharing common requirements is very important. We need a more coherent and unified framework with testing methods included in the legislation across the EU.

✅ Digitalisation and collaboration are two great pillars of hope for addressing the complexities of the water-related challenges. We need to go beyond our different points of view, connect the water users and bridge the cultural gap. ‘Dot connectors’ can facilitate us on fostering dialogues.

✅ The Water Oriented Living Labs is a key instrument for the implementation of new water technologies and citizen engagement.

✅ To have an inclusive water governance, we need stakeholders’ collaboration, public acceptance through the creation of positive narratives and enabling policies.

Who won the Water Smart SME Award? Yesterday Benjamin Hermans from EJWP & De Watergroep announced the winner:

H2OLL, Ilan Katz was awarded for his innovative solution.
