Water Europe has officially launched a strategic collaboration with Unioncamere Puglia to support a high-impact regional initiative dedicated to sustainable water management. Operating under the framework of the Italian Equalisation Fund 2025–2026, this partnership aims to address the critical water challenges facing one of Italy’s most vital economic regions.
The primary objective of the project is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of water requirements across three pillar sectors of the Puglian economy: agriculture, industry, and services. By engaging a broad spectrum of regional stakeholders, the initiative seeks to identify urgent priorities and foster the development of innovative, scalable solutions.
Water Europe will play a pivotal role in this collaboration, contributing its extensive scientific expertise and its proven multi-stakeholder approach. Through organized knowledge exchange and strategic dialogue, Water Europe will assist in identifying practical technological solutions and, crucially, aligning these innovations with appropriate financing opportunities.
This initiative is deeply rooted in the collaborative principles that underpin Water Europe’s Water-Oriented Living Labs (WOLLs). By applying this systemic approach, the partnership aims to move beyond isolated interventions toward a holistic transition that ensures more resilient and sustainable water systems for the region of Puglia.
