Water Europe and the IDEATION project have released the post-event materials from Water Market Europe 2026, held on 16 April in Brussels.
This landmark edition brought together the European water community to shape the future of digital water. The event welcomed 148 registrations, gathered over 110 participants on-site, and facilitated 130 B2B meetings between 76 industry leaders, creating valuable opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and market uptake.
The programme focused on the role of AI, IoT, Digital Twins, data governance, water monitoring, investment, and innovation in accelerating Europe’s digital water transition. Throughout the discussions, speakers underlined that digitalisation is no longer optional, but an essential component of how water systems are managed, governed, and financed.
Participants can now access the post-event materials, including the official photo gallery, expert interviews, and event presentations. Those who attended WME2026 are also invited to complete the short survey, which will help Water Europe further improve future editions of the event.
The edition was hosted back-to-back with the IDEATION Final Multi-Stakeholder Forum, which gathered over 100 experts to discuss Digital Twins for inland waters, AI, data governance, urban water management, and water resilience.
