Last Friday, 31st of January, Water Europe organised a Community Workshop on how to advance water policy and research & innovation in the European Union and to raise awareness on the importance of financing water-related research.
The discussion was set within the context of the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework and the next EU research and Innovation Programme. At the same time, the upcoming Water Resilience Strategy and the Competitiveness Compass offer an opportunity to look at policy coherence and long-term investment for our competitiveness and well-being, making water the major vector to reach these objectives.
